“Drawn hair” refers to hair bundles that are created by combining multiple smaller virgin hair bundles in specific proportions. This process allows for better control over hair length distribution and overall thickness, resulting in a more uniform and fuller appearance compared to raw single-donor hair.
Drawn hair is commonly available in two types: Double Drawn and Super Double Drawn.
Both types are identical in overall hair quality, texture, and origin. The key difference lies in the thickness of the hair ends (tail density) and the proportion of full-length strands within each bundle.
- Super Double Drawn Hair:
This type has a higher percentage of full-length strands, typically around 35%. For example, in a 50 cm bundle, approximately 35% of the strands will reach the full 50 cm length, while the remaining strands are shorter. This results in a thicker, fuller tail and a more uniform look. - Double Drawn Hair:
This type contains approximately 20% full-length strands. In a 50 cm bundle, about 20% of the strands will reach the full length, with the rest being shorter. The ends are still relatively full but less dense compared to super double drawn hair.
Important Note:
Since drawn hair is sourced from multiple donors, it may not perform as consistently as single-donor hair during bleaching. Therefore, it is generally recommended for coloring in brown tones, ranging from dark brown to light brown.
However, with professional processing, manufacturers can still customize drawn hair into lighter shades upon request.
